Rainstone

Rainstone is not only the name of a music studio, it's a collection of music created by friends sharing the incredible joy of musical improvisation, all recorded at a Rainstone Studio.

I once saw evening  sunlight breaking through and peeking sideways from the horizon, bounded under a very low ceiling of deep purple storm clouds and reflecting in brilliant pastels off huge falling raindrops. It was both raining and shining, and the intersecting of fire and water forged an incredibly beautiful tapestry of sparkling, living gemstones --- Rainstones.

This is a collection of music done for fun, always with the goal of being differently original. One song might be quite different from the next,  since having a single style was not the goal -- unbounded musical exploration was the goal.

This project is also a work-in-progress, with many remixes, improvements, and additions to come.

Musicians featured on the Rainstone part of this site include Pat McManus, along with Larry Pejeau and John Kuhn, longtime friends.

ABOUT STILLWATER

 Stillwater is a band composed of myself, my wife Kathy McManus, and John and Suzi Rinne. We focus on interactive entertainment, featuring guitar, bass, synth, and two vocalists.

Besides Stillwater "live" music, in the same section we also also feature a "studio" version of our music. For these versions I added drums, electric guitars, synths, etc. for a full band sound.

Besides listening online, if you prefer you can download individual songs, or an entire group at once. A group download shows up as a ".zip" file. Just double-click on that file to extract all the songs.

All downloads are free, although I would appreciate your email address, not to bother you much at all, if ever. But just in case there are any major developments that might interest you I'd like to be able to share them.
